Sometimes When It Seems Like It's Going To Be A Bad Weekend It Turns Into Something Beautiful.

I Wake Up at 7:30am on Saturday morning from receiving a text message saying that my painter friend won't be able to make it.... this was automatically going to be a stressful broke weekend. There I got up to get organized for the day and make my way to the paint store to pick up all the supplies (brushes, rollers etc); This was supposed to be supplied for us from our friend who was now not coming. On route I stopped off at Future Shop to pick up a t.v. mount where the sales guy proceeded to tell me that it was going to cost me $350 to get someone to come in to install this t.v onto my wall with no cords showing. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!? I won't be paying that, sorry." The poor little sales guy didn't know how to respond to me. After getting him down from $350 to $100 things were starting to look up.

And so the painted begun....

Meeka wants to paint too!

Jonathon starting the kitchen (where the grey stripes will end up being)

The 'before' color

Ta Da!!

After a long tiring day on Saturday, refreshing the feet, and watching a movie in bed.

Sunday night.... not happy having to now deal with all the CLEAN laundry we did which is all over the bed.

So Jon proceeded to push it onto the floor.... where Andy is curled up...

Andy didn't care to move. I guess it was comfortable!?

And our work in progress continues....

So... since we only got the living room and kitchen painted, I am almost done painting the crown moulding then i will start on painting my chandelier and then sanding down my dresser to then paint OH and of course paint the stripes on the wall. This is going to take me a few more weeks, but oh the EXCITEMENT that's inside me is overwhelming :)

One last piece of "excitement"..... we have an old fuse box.... so that means that we have fuse knobs to replace if we blow a fuse, its not a switch you flick back on. So throughout the process of changing all of our light switches and outlets, I blew 12 fuses..... UGH! I literally bought the whole rack of fuses from Walmart..... they must be wondering why they went thru so many. haha

Fuse knobs I had to replace... notice there are 12!

Soo.... this weekend I will hang up my floating white bookshelves, curtains and Monday my tv will be mounted on the wall! SO EXCITED! I'll keep you posted with all my excitement.... and then its time for a HOUSEWARMING!!!!!!
