Montreal I Heart You!

There's nothing I get more excited about two times a year then to know that I am going to Montreal; A. I get to see the next collection of the season and get amped up for the selling season and B. I get to see my 2 lovely friends I adore to bits and pieces. Once a year the whole North Amercian sales team gets together at the Buffalo Jeans head office to go over the current season we will be selling (this time it was the Fall 2011 collection) and then do our buys. This year was extra special it felt because the collection is SO UNREAL I almost stopped breathing. haha Ok a bit unrealistic, but honestly.... YUMMY!
Ladies Team Buying Meeting For Fall'11 Collection

On the Thursday evening we went out to an amazing restaurant called Bice just down the street from our hotel (Sofitel).... Obviously I forgot to take photos of my food, but let me reassure you it was delicious!! I had a salad with beets, walnuts and goat cheese to start and then my main course was salmon with beet and then dessert was like eating a piece of cake that was made of nutella with crunchy pieces in it....

After our meetings were over for the week, my girlfriend picked me up at the office and then we went to the train station to pick up my other girlfriend who had taken the train in from Toronto to visit me for the weekend. Such an awesome weekend with good people.... I have nothing to complain (except the fact that someone decided it was a great idea to pick pocket me and steal my wallet with my life contents inside.... FML). On Friday evening we went to Igloo Festival which happens every year. This is a big outdoor music festival with a bunch of DJ's and all the bars are made out of ice. This year it was sooooo busy.... but of course we made the best of it and got rowdy :)

Poutine Afterwards Which Killed Me The Next Morning Unfortunately

The next day consisted of some shopping; I bought my birthday dress and a FABULOUS navy blue watch with a gold bracelet attached (I'll post a photo this week wearing my birthday outfit). That evening we went to a french restaurant and I had yet again another fabulous meal ( chicken stuffed with fig and roasted veggies on the side) and then we went for drinks to a small pub afterwards to finish our evening off.

Toulani Scarf, Evil Twin Shirt, Guess Pleather Leggings and some no name boots I got from a samples sale & Betsey Johnson watch from Nordstrom Rack.

Montreal is my favourite place to visit in Canada and it's always  sad to leave.... however.... Montreal is always good to me and I always look forward to my next visit back. Until next time Montreal.... I heart you!!

Saturday Deals

Today I went downtown and went shopping with my girlfriend Jessica as she was looking for an elegant and classy long dress for a wedding she is going to tomorrow. She showed me this beautiful dress that she wanted on a website for almost $500; she heard that this brand was at The Bay so thats where we went first. WIth no troubles at all we walked right into the dress, the last one in stock on a random shelf in her size AND was 50% off the last ticked price. SOLD! She got the dress for a whopping $80 plus hst! UNREAL! That is when you KNOW it was meant to be :) Here is what I wore for my day of shopping with my bestie.

Fit: Tory Burch flats, Ragwear trouser pants, Buffalo Jeans tank top and cardigan, Papaya bomber jacket & Tolani linen scarf.

GIRLS JUST WANA HAVE FUN!

Vancouver Nights

Last night I went out to Shine nightclub down in gastown for a fundraiser event for 'The Canuck Place' (http://www.canuckplace.org/) which is an amazing organization that help the terminally ill kids. My friends put on this event and had local hip hop artists come out and perform. It was a great evening for a great cause! Sorry for the bad expression on my face, I look really tired.... but here you go.... the outfit for the event....

Happy 3 Years!

The other night was my 3 year anniversary with my boyfriend and he took me out to an amazing little underground restaurant called 'Nuba' ( www.nuba.ca ) which is authentic lebanese cuisine in Vancouver. In the evening they dim the lights and it turns into a little romantic restaurant. This place is all about sharing, so for starters we got their hummus dish (organic chick peas blended with lemon, garlic and tahini) and their mjadra dish which was my personal favourite (organic green lentils and rice with onions, jalapenos, served with avocado and caramelized onions); both of these dishes were vegan. For our main course I got their lamb chops (roasted lamb chips crusted with mint and sumac, served with walnut hummus, tomato confit & date molasses). My boyfriend's main course was duck magret (cardamom spiced pan seared duck magret with potatoes, onion and marmalade & a feta and dried fruit salad). I know what you're thinking... WHERE ARE THE PHOTOS... they are on my other camera so I will post those for you later. In the mean time this is what I wore to our casual romantic dinner.

Happy New Year!!!

I know it's been awhile.... I've had friends get on my case *wink* about not keeping up to date with my blog. Soo... I have a few new years resolutions:

1. Stay up to date with my blog
2. Save money
3. Get onto an exercise routine
4. Keep clothes off the floor and make my bed everyday

Sometimes new years resolutions seem too .... cliche?? So this year IM STICKING TO IT!!!!! So far so good! Been keeping up with my bikrams yoga (LOVE LOVE) and I just started my first class of bootcamp last night. OUCH I'm sore today!!! LOL Actually I've been doing well with all my new years resolutions minus the saving money part. This one always seems to be the hardest one.... in time in time. I guess it starts with not spending money.... haha

Do you have any new years resolutions you want to actually stick to this year?

Now.... onto some inspirations I've found.....

Givenchy.... I've fallen in love!!
